GasNow API (gasnow.org format)

The original GasNow API went offline with gasnow.org in 2021. The same response format is available again, so old scripts and bots only need a new base URL.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the original GasNow API?

GasNow (gasnow.tools) is the community-run successor of the GasNow gas tracker, launched in 2021 after the original gasnow.org by SparkPool shut down. It is not affiliated with SparkPool. This endpoint answers in the same format the original API used.

What units does it use?

Like the original: gas prices in wei (integers) and the timestamp in milliseconds.

Is there a websocket?

Not yet. Poll the HTTP endpoint every 10 seconds or more.
