The Federal Police (PF) seized two physical cryptocurrency wallet devices on Wednesday (7) during Operation Magen, targeting organized crime in Rio de Janeiro.
Conducted jointly with the Rio de Janeiro State Public Prosecutor’s Office (MPRJ), the operation executed judicial warrants against a gang suspected of money laundering and arms trafficking, underscoring how criminal groups are increasingly exploiting crypto assets and the heightened coordination among law‑enforcement agencies to trace and confiscate such digital holdings.
